As part of activity within the Department of Health and the NHS to support business continuity planning, the National Pharmaceutical Supply Group (NPSG) has requested that CMU collate information on business continuity plans of suppliers on CMU framework agreements for pharmaceuticals.

The objective will be to act as a central point for this information which will be made available to NHS pharmacists and procurement staff for use within their local areas of responsibility.

Prior to issue of this questionnaire the approach has been discussed with trade associations. It is intended by undertaking this exercise centrally the NHS has a single source of information and that duplicate requests for the same information are minimised.
